Our Story
Gittelman & Company was founded on October 18, 1984, by Mark Gittelman in Clifton, New Jersey. For 40 years, Mark built a practice focused on one simple idea: give clients sophisticated accounting expertise with personalized service they can't get at big firms.
In January 2024, the firm transitioned to Rory Roche as managing partner. Rory had worked alongside Mark for nearly a decade, learning the business, building relationships with clients, and understanding what makes Gittelman & Company different.
Today, we're still in the same Clifton office. We're still deliberately small at 11 people. We're still focused on Northern New Jersey businesses that need year-round partnership. And we're still competing on service, not status—because that's what actually matters.

CPA and CGMA with wide-ranging tax and accounting experience across construction, real estate, and investments. Joined the firm in 2015 and became managing partner in 2024.
CPA with deep expertise in partnerships, real estate, trusts, private foundations, and high net worth clients. Former audit department at Price Waterhouse LLP (now PwC).
CPA with over 40 years of experience servicing small businesses with financing, accounting, and tax planning. Specializes in real estate, construction, and high net worth individuals.
Seasoned CPA with over 30 years of tax experience. Began her career at Deloitte and previously served as Tax Director for a large German-owned manufacturer.
CPA and CGMA who combines technical expertise with strategic insight. Has held leadership roles in both public accounting and industry.
Works closely with diverse clients across many industries, managing daily financial operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.
A valuable team member providing both administrative support and accounting/tax functions, with skills developed through extensive on-the-job experience over nearly two decades.
The firm's longest-serving team member, affiliated since its founding in 1984. Manages all aspects of internal operations including billing, collections, personnel, and payroll.
Brings over 20 years of administrative and executive support experience across the accounting, banking and financial service industries. Manages complex administrative operations and coordinates client communications at the firm.
